Flagship Capability • Ground to Closeout
Complete Civil Construction From the Ground Up
EMC self-performs or professionally manages every phase of a site — from clearing and demolition through earthwork, utilities, concrete, paving, striping and closeout. One contractor, one schedule, one point of accountability, and a finished site handed back ready to build on and use.
One Accountable Contractor
The Whole Site, Start to Finish
Most site work fails at the handoffs — the seams between trades where schedules slip, subgrade gets disputed, and nobody owns the outcome. EMC is built to close those seams.
We take a raw or occupied parcel and deliver a complete, finished civil package: cleared, demolished where needed, cut to grade, drained, served by utilities, paved, striped and restored. Because our own crews perform the heavy phases and we professionally manage the specialty scopes, the work stays sequenced, the responsibility stays in one place, and the schedule stays intact.
That is the flagship of everything EMC does. Each division below is a capability we bring to the same site under one contract — or bid as a standalone scope when that is what your project needs.
Scaled for Serious Work
Large Enough to Perform. Responsive Enough to Care. Disciplined Enough to Deliver.
EMC is a regional civil contractor built for commercial, municipal and industrial projects — with the crews, equipment and project-management discipline to run large, multi-phase work without losing the responsiveness owners actually want.
Phases We Deliver
How a Complete Site Comes Together
A civil project moves through predictable phases. EMC performs or manages all of them — in sequence, on one schedule, with documentation at every step.
Clearing & Demolition
Site clearing, grubbing, structure and pavement demolition, and removal — clearing the parcel and preparing it for new construction.
Erosion & Sediment Control
Perimeter controls, entrances and inlet protection installed before ground is disturbed and maintained through the job to keep the site permit-compliant.
Mass Excavation & Earthwork
Cut and fill, mass grading, rock excavation where required, and balanced earthwork to bring the site to design elevations.
Underground Utilities
Water, sewer, storm, and dry-utility conduit — trenched, bedded, laid, tested and backfilled before surfaces go down.
Stormwater & Drainage
Storm sewer, structures, detention and conveyance that manage water on the finished site and satisfy the drainage design.
Fine Grading & Aggregate Base
Fine grading, proof-rolling and compacted aggregate base — the tested, on-grade platform every pavement and slab depends on.
Concrete & Paving
Curb and gutter, sidewalks, pads, structural concrete, and asphalt or concrete paving to build the finished surfaces.
Striping, Restoration & Closeout
Pavement markings, seeding and final stabilization, punch-list completion, and documented closeout — the site handed back finished.
How We Contract the Work
Turnkey Packages or Managed Scopes
How you engage EMC is up to the project. We deliver complete turnkey site packages under a single contract, take on individual divisions as a specialty contractor to a general contractor, or coordinate a mix of self-perform and managed specialty scopes.
- Turnkey complete-site packages
- Multi-phase development delivery
- Design-build coordination
- Value engineering & constructability review
- Self-perform heavy civil scopes
- Professionally managed specialty trades
- Phased, sequenced scheduling
- Documented progress & closeout
Why It Works
Project Management Built for Big Civil Work
Large projects are won and lost on coordination. EMC runs them with the discipline the schedule requires.
Self-Perform Strength
Owning the heavy phases means we control the critical path instead of waiting on it — earthwork, utilities and grading move on our schedule.
Sequenced Scheduling
Phases are planned so trades hand off cleanly, weather windows are used well, and the site keeps moving toward a firm completion date.
Safety First
Trench protection, traffic control and site-specific safety planning are built into how the work is run, not bolted on afterward.
Documentation
Progress records, testing coordination, as-built information and closeout packages give owners and GCs a defensible paper trail.
Value Engineering
Constructability and cost input during preconstruction can balance earthwork, simplify utilities and protect the budget.
Single Accountability
One contractor answers for the whole site, so there is no gap between scopes for problems to hide in.
